GOLDFISH NATION was founded in summer 2005. Back in the late 90's, Martin, Rob and I were in a band when still at school. Some years later we got together again to form GOLDFISH NATION. A few months later, an old friend of ours, Pawel Wieleba, joined the band on drums. At the end of 2005 we jammed together for the first time. In March 2006 we recorded a demo with five songs: Killing Time / Stop / The Leaves Are Falling / Music For The Satisfied / In Her Life. Some of these songs were written in Beijing and performed by The Useless Limb, with two American students and myself.
On April 26, 2007 we played our first gig as Goldfish Nation at Fundbureau in Hamburg. In August we played our second gig at Logo.
At the beginning of 2008 we split up with our drummer Pawel, who due to his work with another band and university didn't have the time to play with us on a regular basis. Fortunately we soon found Andreas Wielgoss, who has been our drummer since February 2008. On July 4, 2008 we played our first show with Andi on the drums at Logo.
In 2007 we began working on our 12 track album No Resolution. The work on our album all in all took almost one year and was officially released at our show in Freundlich&Kompetent on July 26, 2008.
